Subsidiary of Broadview Energy Solutions

DMT is a subsidiary of Broadview Energy Solutions, which is ultimately owned by HAL Investments. Broadview Energy Solutions was founded in 2013, to develop liquefied natural gas (LNG) distribution, offering a cleaner and cost competitive alternative for oil derivatives.

Over the past ten years Broadview’s affiliated LNG distribution companies, such as Barents Naturgass A.S. and Molgas Energy, played a key role in the successful roll-out of LNG as a transport fuel for trucks and ships in Europe, while the required cryogenic equipment, such as LNG tanks and trailers, is manufactured by Aritaş Cryogenics and leased by Cryogenic Container Solutions B.V..

The development of LNG as a transport fuel, has opened the door to use (liquefied) bio-methane to meet the required carbon emission reductions in the transport sector over the coming decade. The use of bio-methane is a more cost-effective way, than biodiesel or green hydrogen, to meet RED3 and FuelEU targets. This will drive the continued growth of biomethane production and is a key reason for Broadview to acquire DMT in 2021.

After the acquisition DMT continues to operate as a standalone company with its own management team, but in close cooperation with other Broadview companies, where it makes sense from a long-term growth perspective. This cooperation enables DMT to better support its clients with a comprehensive value proposition, including support on biomethane offtake, leasing and LCO₂ & LNG transport.
