DMT will be the biogas upgrading technology provider for VTTI’s development at the Glentham Green Energy (GGE) project. DMT is a leading total solutions provider offering the full scope of equipment from the outlet of the AD System. For the Glentham project, DMT will provide their MS membrane system, GEU system and high-pressure grid connection to the local NTS Nation Gas network.
When complete, the plant will produce 60 gigawatt hours (GWh) of renewable natural gas annually in Lincolnshire, UK—enough clean energy to heat over 5,000 homes annually. This total solution brought forward years of experience within the UK market and combined companies to work together as one team and deliver on the customers’ expectations.
With only one contract, DMT could move quickly for the development and pass on project savings back to the end client. This project delivered on time was the first of its type for DMT, and following its success, DMT has now delivered several wrapped projects for developers wanting to reduce costs and risk to projects in the UK.
The overall project is a big step forward. It confirms DMT’s quality and experience and shows the ability to build a project for higher-pressure grid connections. Says Stephen McCulloch, Director for DMT Environmental Technology.
The facility will be part of VTTI’s growing portfolio of European bio-energy facilities. The development of the Glentham project is part of VTTI’s strategy to invest in sustainable forms of energy storage and processing that will become a fundamental part of the future energy landscape.
